McKinley Babb Sr. of the 31200 block of George St., died Tuesday, June 6, 1995, in Obici Hospital, Suffolk, after a long illness.
A native of Southampton County, he was retired from Griffin & Company Loggers and was a member of Burdette Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Viola B. Scott of Franklin; two sons, McKinley Babb Jr. of Franklin and Johnnie Babb of Suffolk; five sisters, Corine Eley of Smithfield, Frances Ricks of Franklin, Mary E. Fennell, Adell Ricks, Geraldine Newsoms, all of Baltimore; a brother, Gurnie Babb Jr. of Baltimore; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in William M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. M.A. Porter. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Sedley.
