Richfood Holdings Inc., the Richmond-based wholesale food distributor, said Wednesday its fourth-quarter and fiscal 1995 profits soared, mainly due to its recent acquisitions. Earnings increased 17 percent to $8.8 million in the quarter ended April 29 from $7.5 million in the year-earlier period. Fourth-quarter sales climbed 24 percent to $498.9 million. For the year, earnings jumped 17 percent to $21 million. Sales increased 19 percent to $1.3 billion. Richfood acquired Philadelphia-based Rotelle Inc. last August and Norfolk-based Camellia Food Stores' wholesale division in February. (Staff) by CNB
