PAUL R. KERLEY

Paul Reginal Kerley, 87, formerly of the 1500 block of Blanche Drive, died Thursday, June 8, 1995.

A native of Alexander County, N.C., he was the widower of Virginia M. Kerley. Mr. Kerley was retired from the Norfolk-Portsmouth Beltline Railroad as a conductor. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Jean Futrell of Portsmouth, Linda Rose Smith of Smithfield, Va., and Joan Marie Cahoon of Williamsburg; two sons, James T. Kerley of Houston, Texas, and Paul R. Kerley of Chesapeake; a sister, Enid Rowe of Louisburg, N.C.; two brothers, Delmas Kerley of Taylorville, N.C., and Claude Kerley of Kettrell, N.C.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Gene Primm. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and will also be at 2025 Ames Circle North, Chesapeake.
