The merger of the Bank of Suffolk and the Bank of Waverly, forming James River Bankshares Inc., has been completed. The multibank holding company had assets of almost $152 million. Chairman Elmon T. Gray said that the company has appointed First Union National Bank of North Carolina as stock transfer agent.
