With one storm past and forecasters warning that this will be a busy hurricane season in the Atlantic basin, a seminar on hurricane safety will be held today.
Local representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Red Cross will join Weather Channel meteorologist Bill Keneely for the program. It takes place 10 a.m. at the Lowe's store, 3565 Holland Road.
The program will cover a variety of topics, ranging from preparedness tips to identifying local flood-prone areas and the best evacuation routes.
