David Linwood Steele, 54, of the 5600 block of N. Greenfield Drive, died June 11, 1995, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
He was a native of Portsmouth, a welder (Shop 26) at Norfolk Naval Shipyard and a member of the NRA and Moose Lodge (NU)898.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Kay Steele; two daughters, Kimberly R. Gazaway and Debbie Betterton of Portsmouth; a son, Elwyn Sweet of Portsmouth; a sister, Barbara Marrin of Portsmouth; and a grandson, Joseph Gazaway.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday.
