Oscar W. Richardson, Jr., 81, of the 600 block of Manor Drive, a retired supervisor, died June 16, 1995 in Chesapeake.
Mr. Richardson was born in Wilmington, N.C. He retired from civil service in the O & R department at N.A.S. Norfolk. He was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church, Norfolk, and Aragona Moose Lodge (NU)1198 and was preceded in death by his wife, Annie ``Lib'' Richardson.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia L. Richardson of Virginia Beach; two sons, Michael Bruce Richardson of Salisbury, Md., and Oscar W. Richardson, III, of Chesapeake; a sister-in-law, Louise G. Soyars of Eden, N.C.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by Father Anthony G. Diffenbaugh. Interment will be at Lawson Cemetery, Eden, N.C. Contributions may be made to a charity of choice. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
