Ethel Roberts Morelen, 78, of the 100 block of Fife St., died June 17, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Morelen was born in Charleston, S.C. She was a member of Hyde Park Freewill Baptist Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include her husband, Burnice S. Morelen; a daughter, Linda Shoop, and a stepdaughter, Thresa Northrup, both of Virginia Beach; a son, James Bernhardt of Washington, D.C.; a stepson, Douglas Morelen of Hampton, Va.; two sisters, Louise Paul of Ventura, Calif., and Nell Land of Franklin, Va.; two grandchildren, Kenneth Shoop and Kristopher Shoop, and a great-grandchild, Cory Shoop, all of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Terry Beck. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 4 to 6 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hyde Park Freewill Baptist Church, 8501 Chesapeake Blvd., Norfolk, Va. 23518.
