NANNIE J. MURDEN

Nannie Elizabeth Jacques Murden, 84, of 1430 Meads Road, was called to be with the Lord, Monday, June 19th.

Mrs. Murden was a native of Norfolk. She had retired from the James G. Gill Coffee Company after many years. She was past Worthy Matron of Virginia Chapter (NU)22 Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church where she served as president of her Bible Class.

She is survived by her husband, Archie L. Murden; a son, M.L. ``Pete'' Murden of Virginia Beach; a sister, Dorothy Jacques Carroll of Norfolk; and a niece, Linda C. Coupland of Norfolk. The body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, to Forest Lawn Cemetery for a graveside service to be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Dr. Charles H. Smith and the Rev. Francis E. Collins will officiate. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
