Roy Gene Richardson, 58, born Aug. 4, 1936, in Johnson County, N.C., died June 16, 1995, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
He attended school at G.W. Carver High School, retired from the City of Baltimore, Md., Public Works.
He leaves behind his wife, Emily Richardson; two daughters, Lisa Davis of Virginia Beach and Wendy Ramaseuer of Chesapeake; parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Richard Richardson of Norfolk; three sisters, Barbara Bass of Chesapeake, Lynette Atkins of Norfolk and Deborah Alston of Edison, N.J.; brothers, James R. Richardson of Norfolk, Ronald Richardson of Virginia Beach, Lyman Richardson of West Chester, Pa.; six grandchildren; one brother-in-law; three sisters-in-law; a host of nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.
A funeral will be at noon Thursday in Fellowship Church of God in Christ, 721 E. 29th St., Norfolk, Ella Jeff Barbour presiding. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
