Howard B. (Bit) Griffin, 69, of 502 Ragsdale Rd., Jamestown, died at 8 a.m. Saturday in High Point Regional Hospital.
He was born July 27, 1925, in Boykins, Va.; a son of John Thomas and Homie Smith Griffin. He was a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, in the school of Designing, and was retired in that field.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Gray (Lise) Sabiston of Beaufort, N.C.; two sons, John B. Griffin of Greensboro and James Michael Griffin of Kavai, Hawaii; one sister, Mrs. Edith G. Kirkland of Boykins, Va.; and one granddaughter, Miss Brooks Griffin of St. Charles, Mo.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery by Rev. Richard A. Howle. The body will be cremated and the family will receive friends at the residence. Arrangements by Sechrest Funeral Service, High Point.
