THOMAS C. VAIL

Thomas C. Vail, 71, of the 1400 block of Ramsey Road, a retired submariner, died June 24, 1995, in a local hospital.

Mr. Vail was born in Philipsburg, Pa. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 24 years, was a Navy veteran of World War II, member of the Submarine Veterans of World War II and Fleet Reserve and a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Vail; a daughter, Terry Blount of Virginia Beach; a son, Tim Vail of Roanoke, Va.; and three grandsons, Brian and David Blount and Matthew Vail.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church by Pastor Elmer Medley. Burial will be private at a later date. Arrangements by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
