Capt. Frederick William Smith, Ret. U.S.M.C., 90, died Sunday, June 25, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
He was a native of Lancaster, N.Y. He spent 36 years in the Marine Corps and was in the Guadalcanal and Korean Campaign. He was a member of the Retired Officers Assoc. and Disabled American Veterans Assoc.
Survivors include his wife, Mable Virginia Smith of Portsmouth.
Cremation will take place with Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
