MARJORIE S. RAMEY

Marjorie Smithson Ramey, 77, of 631 Virginia Ave., died Monday, June 26, 1995, in her residence.

She was a native of Elizabeth City, N.C., and was the beloved wife of the late Roy Earl Ramey. She retired in 1983 after 36 years as a supervisor of receipt control at the Oceana Naval Air Station, and was a member of London Bridge Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Carole R. Melvin of Virginia Beach; one son, Roy E. Ramey Jr. of Virginia Beach; one sister, Carolyn Paris of Virginia Beach; one brother, Harold W. Smithson of DeLand, Fla.; one granddaughter, Linda J. Melvin of Washington, D.C.; and one grandson, R. Wesley Melvin of Virginia Beach.

A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, June 29, at 2 p.m. in Princess Anne Memorial Park, 1110 N. Great Neck Road by the Rev. Mark W. Stone. The family will be at the Maestas Funeral Home Baltic Avenue Chapel tonight from 7 until 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Building Fund, P.O. Box 945, Virginia Beach, 23451.
