Clifford B. Chapman, 87, of Virginia Beach, a retired metallurgist, died June 26, 1995, in Norfolk.
Mr. Chapman was born in Middletown, Conn., and was the widower of Mary Lynch Chapman. He was retired from Olin Matheison Corp. in New Haven, Conn. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church; attended Payne Whitney Art School; and was a member of Virginia Beach Center for the Arts; Chesapeake Water Colorists Association; and American Marine Society of Artists.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean C. Snider and husband, Denton of Virginia Beach; a son, David B. Chapman of Hamden, Conn.; and two grandchildren, Laura and Diane Snider of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in St. Nicholas Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 6 to 7 p.m. The body will be shipped for burial in North Haven, Conn. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
