John Gibbs Davis, 72, of Route 2, Conway, owner, founder and president of Davis Farm Supply, died Thursday, June 29, 1995.
Mr. Davis was born in Conway on Feb. 10, 1923. He was a farmer, a World War II Army veteran and a member of Zion United Methodist Church. He was elected to the ASC Committee on Oct. 1, 1969.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Boone Davis; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Thomas Pope of Conway; a son and daughter-in-law, John Morris and Peggy Davis of Raleigh; one sister, Louise Woodard of Conway; and four grandchildren, Jenny, Beth, John and James.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Bowman and the Rev. Joe McLean. Burial will follow in the Conway Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Home and at the home of Mr. Davis, Route 2, Conway. Memorial donations may be made to the Conway-Severn Rescue Squad.
