Mrs. Maggie B.P. Lewis of the 1500 block of Stratford St., died June 29, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Long Island, Va., the daughter of the late Grant and Mollie Pannell. She was retired from Manor High School, Portsmouth, and Blair Cut Rate in Norfolk. She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church in Norfolk, where she was honored by The Brotherhood in 1988 and was a member of the Mother's Aid Club, the Susie Hawkins Floral Club and the Food Committee.
Survivors include a very loving husband, Floyd H. Lweis of Portsmouth; a sister, Mrs. Nannie Mae Jones of Norfolk; three brothers, Moses Pannell and Dock Pannell of Long Island, Va., and Arthur Pannell of New York City; a devoted sister-in-law, Ruth A. Lewis and brother-in-law, St. Paul Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 3, 1995, at noon in New Calvary Baptist Church by Dr. G.G. Campbell Jr. Burial will follow in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
