WILLIAM C. PROCEJUS

William Carl Procejus, 70, of the 94-000 block of Lumiauau St., died June 27, 1995, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Mr. Procejus was born in Audobon, New Jersey. Most recently he worked as a Sales Representative in government sales for the Yeattes-Brawley Group in Hawaii, with his largest customer being the Pearl Harbor Submarine Base. He worked for Allstate Insurance Co. for 20 years in Roanoke, Va. While at Allstate he was involved in the origination of their Marine Underwriting Program. He spent 11 years in Virginia Beach as a salesman for the Ford Motor Co. He was also involved in several business ventures including industrial chemical sales, and interior furnishing products. Mr. Procejus served during World War II as the Captain of a P.T. boat doing sea and air rescue. He was also very active in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and instrumental in organizing the Coast Guard Auxiliary at Smith Mountain Lake.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen W. Procejus; two daughters, Chris Procejus Scriver of Brockville, Ontario, and Connie Procejus Martin of Henrico, North Carolina; two sons, William Procejus and Jeff Procejus both of New York City, New York; two grandchildren, Ben Lacey of Bridge North, Ontario, and Megan Lacey of Toronto, Ontario. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barb Procejus.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. John D. Chamblin. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sandbridge Fire and Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 6113, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23456.
