Robert Dyer Prince, 67, of the 600 block of Princess Anne Road, died July 1, 1995.
Mr. Prince was the owner of Monk's Place in Creeds, Virginia Beach, and was a native of Portsmouth, Ohio. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Portsmouth, Va., and also of the American Fellowship Masonic Lodge (NU)148, Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies, Fellowship Chapter (NU)140 of the Order of the Eastern Star, Catholic Club, and life member of William Chapman Royal Arch Chapter. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Azalea Kern Prince; two daughters, Mary J. Love of Virginia Beach and Bonnie E. Kern of Lynchburg, Va.; one son, John W. Kern of Virginia Beach; one sister, Phyllis Harrell of Suffolk; three brothers, William Prince, Blaine Prince and David Prince, all of Portsmouth, Va.; six grandchildren; three nieces; and six nephews.
The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites by the Rev. Roger K. Hammond. Visitation will be today from 4 to 6 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Knotts Island Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
