Elizabeth J. Banks of the 2900 block of E. Princess Anne Road, a retired private duty nurse, died June 29, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Banks was born in Norfolk. She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church, Female Usher Board (NU)2 and Daisy Lue Tent 651 United Order of Tents. She was the widow of Willie Banks.
Survivors include a son, Alvin R. Sutton of New York, N.Y.; a sister, Mildred J. Nickens of Norfolk; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Louise O. Jones and Willie Jones.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday at First Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Calvin James. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hale Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Family will assemble at her residence.
