JOHN E. O'CONNOR

John Edgar O'Connor, 55, a Lieutenant with the Norfolk Police Department for 33 years, died July 1, 1995.

He was a native of Norfolk, and was a member of Charles T. Morton Masonic Lodge (NU)232, Norfolk Scottish Rite Bodies, Khedive Temple of the Shrine, Law Enforcement Square Club of Eastern Virginia, Fraternal Order of Police, and the Police Association of Virginia.

He is survived by his wife, Betsy T. O'Connor; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan O. and Richard B. Perry of Virginia Beach; one son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Reba Dismukes O'Connor of Williamsburg; his mother, Beverly Liebig and step-father, W.T. Liebig, both of Norfolk; and two grandchildren, Helen Amanda O'Connor and Lillian Claire O'Connor.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Police Honors. Masonic Rites will be accorded at the funeral home. The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
