A 14-year-old boy was left with a bullet lodged in his jaw Wednesday after he pointed a loaded gun at himself and pulled the trigger.

The incident occurred about 1 p.m. at the boy's home in the 4000 block of Clifton St.

Police said Antwan Lamont Brickhouse was home alone when a friend came by with the gun.

The two boys were in Brickhouse's bedroom playing with the .22-caliber handgun when the shot was fired.

``Antwan loaded one bullet in the gun and spun the cylinder,'' said Mike Simpkins, a police spokesman.

``He made a remark about Russian roulette and held the gun to his face. He thought the bullet was away from the firing pin and pulled the trigger.''

Brickhouse was taken to the Maryview Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition.

The other youth fled after the shooting, taking the gun with him. The weapon has not been recovered.
