Susan Scott Singletary, 71, of the 300 block of Constitution Ave., died on July 6, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
She was a native of Marion, S.C., and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Portsmouth.
Survivors include her two daughters, Mary E. Sullivan of Portsmouth, and Catherine S. Boes of Belleville, Ill.; one son, Jesse L. James of Chesterfield, Va.; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, David Herman Singletary Sr.
The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Afterwards, the body will be shipped to the Collins and Smith Funeral Home in Marion, S.C. for funeral services and burial. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
