WTKR KICKS OFF NEW NEWSCASTS

WTKR launches early-morning local weekend newscasts today. ``TV3 News Saturday Morning'' and ``TV3 News Sunday Morning'' will run from 6 to 9 a.m. on Channel 3.

Peninsula anchor Ann Keffer and Kurt Williams will co-anchor the newscasts. Tal White will report on the weather.

WTKR joins WAVY, which recently began airing a Saturday morning newscast from 6:30 to 8 a.m. by CNB
