A day after Old Dominion's best pitcher said he is transferring to Mississippi State, the team's top hitter said that he may be heading south as well.
Matt Quatraro, a heavy-hitting senior who led the team in hitting, RBIs and tied a school record for home runs last year, said he has received a release from ODU and is interested in following pitcher Brett Wheeler to Mississippi State, home of ex-ODU coach Pat McMahon.

ODU coach Tony Guzzo said Monday that Wheeler was not the only player considering transferring, and that he wanted to withhold comment until any player moves were finalized. Attempts to reach Guzzo Tuesday were unsuccessful. McMahon also could not be reached for comment. by CNB
