Doris Edith Hord, 77, of Camden Point Shores, died Wednesday, July 12, 1995, at her residence.
Mrs. Hord was born in Henrico County, Va., and was the daughter of the late Dabney Beauregard and Inez Wade Henley. She was affiliated with Gospel Hall on Laurel Avenue, Chesapeake.
Survivors include her husband, Bennett Hord Sr.; her son, Bennett Hord Jr. of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Sherry Middlebrooks, Ronnie Hord, Lisa Hord and Sandra Hord; and four great-grandchildren, Megan Hord, Kyle Hord, Mennen Middlebrooks and Camden Middlebrooks.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge. Interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today, and immediately following the service at the cemetery, the family will receive friends at the home of the grandson, Ronnie Hord, 253 Carawan Lane, Chesapeake.
