Jason Anderson, a Virginia Beach resident who died of leukemia at age 11, was an outpatient at St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. His father, Andy Anderson, owner of Action Auction Services, developed the plan for the auction to thank St. Jude's for the help and support his son received. Anderson persuaded Tom Barton, owner of Beach Ford in Virginia Beach to donate a new car for the auction.
