The Chesapeake City Council took the following actions at its meeting on July 11. The council meets the second, third and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall.
A resolution requesting the Chesapeake Circuit Court to order an election on the date of the General Election, Nov. 7, 1995, to submit to the qualified voters of the city of Chesapeake the question of requesting the General Assembly to amend Section 5.08 and add new section 12.06 of the Charter of the city of Chesapeake to authorize the adoption of a Timing Amendment to the City's Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances and to require additional information and procedures for the adoption of the Capital Improvement Program in the event such Timing Amendment is adopted.
