Karen Darlene Slaughter Bullock, 28, of the 9300 block of Medowfield Court, died July 11, 1995, in Health South Hospital, Richmond after a short illness.
She was a native of Suffolk, Va., a manager of logistics at Naval-C-System Command, Crystal City, Va., was a former member of New Jerusalem COGIC, Carrsville, Va., and was currently a member of Crusade for Christ Temple of Richmond. She was a former member of the C.T.S. Ensemble, a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and its marching band, a graduate of Virginia State with a BA in political science and graduate of logistic management school for the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel Bullock, Jr.; a son, Darius Kodell Bullock of Richmond; her parents, Charles Thomas Slaughter Sr., and Lois Ann Green-Slaughter; father-in-law, Daniel Bullock, Sr. of Suffolk; mother-in-law, Mae Bullock of Suffolk; and sister-in-law, Sybil Bullock of Suffolk; a sister, Joyce Slaughter of Baltimore, Md.; a grandmother, Rosa Smith; an adopted grandfather, Clyde Edmond; and a great-grandmother, Rosa Stevenson, all of Suffolk; an aunt, Bettie Smith; and three uncles, Rev. Lemuel Green, Clarence Slaughter and Clyde Edmond.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at New Mt. Joy COGIC, 307 County St., Suffolk, by the Rev. James I. Johnson. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Park.
