Mary Kania Meadows, 80, of the 600 block of Homestead Road, a retired barber, died July 14, 1995 in a local hospital.
She was a member of Indiana United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, was United Methodist Women treasurer for 17 years and was the widow of Carl Meadows.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Kathy Meadows, and a brother, Rudolph J. Kania, both of Chesapeake; and two grandchildren. Chase and Shannon Higginbotham. She was preceded in death by a son, Coy L. Meadows.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Indiana United Methodist Church by the Rev. E. Clifton Whitlock and the Rev. William E. Kube. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Arrangements by Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
