Eugene Holton Marlowe, 78, of the 5800 block of Pleasant Woods Court, died July 15, 1995, in a Portsmouth nursing home.
He was a native of Statesville, N.C., and was a retired machinist with the Newport News Shipyard with 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Daisy Mae Marlowe; two daughters, Dorothy Mayo of Tampa, Fla., and Linda McAlpine of Portsmouth; two sons, Jerry Marlowe of Chesapeake and Donnie Marlowe of Portsmouth; one sister, Maude Marlowe of Statesville, N.C.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Loving Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Alan G. Moor. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
