EUGENE H. MARLOWE

Eugene Holton Marlowe, 78, of the 5800 block of Pleasant Woods Court, a retired machinist, died July 15, 1995, in a Portsmouth nursing home.

He was a native of Statesville, N.C., retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 30 years and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Daisy Mae Marlowe; two daughters, Dorothy Mayo of Tampa, Fla., and Linda McAlpine of Portsmouth; two sons, Jerry Marlowe of Chesapeake and Donnie Marlowe of Portsmouth; a sister, Maude Marlowe of Statesville, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Russell, and a grandson, Ronnie Russell.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Loving Funeral Home by the Rev. Alan G. Moor. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at 5228 Sweetbriar Circle, Portsmouth.
