James R. Halverson (N4FZA), 83, died July 17, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Halverson was born in Hibbing, Minn. He retired from civil service, was a member of Hampton Roads Radio Assn., Green Frog Net, Virginia Fone Net and was a veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie A. Halverson; a son, James R. Halverson, Jr. of Marietta, Ga.; and two grandsons, James R. Halverson, III of Marietta and Eric Nels Halverson.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. William E. Amon. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
