Willie Alonza Staylor, 88, died July 18, 1995.
He was a native of Suffolk and the widower of Virginia Riddick Staylor. He was the son of the late Frank Alonza Staylor and Lillie Hines Staylor. He was predeceased by a daughter, Betty S. Bradshaw.
Mr. Staylor retired in 1972 as a superintendent of Lone Star Industries, Chuckatuck Plant. He was a member of Oakland Christian Church and a former member of the Men's Class.
Survivors include his daughter, Ann S. Johnson of Suffolk; a son, W. Frank Staylor of Suffolk; four grandchildren, Charles Cleve Johnson, Cheryl Cornell, Chuck Bradshaw and Barry Bradshaw; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Mark Burns. The family will be at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439.
