Elizabeth City State University has received financial awards from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center and from NASA.
The $25,000 biotechnology center award will support an ECSU project to help the Halifax and Northampton county school systems develop distance learning programs. Officials said they hoped the project would help the rural districts improve their math and science programs.
ECSU will share the $400,000 NASA grant with six other minority universities developing infrastructure for access to the Internet. by CNB
