Charles O. Bland III, a.k.a. William C. Lipscomb, known as ``Wank'' Lipscomb to many, 68, died July 14, 1995, in his home.
Mr. Bland was born in Portsmouth, Va., and was a resident of Virginia Beach for 33 years. He was retired from the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline D. Bland; a daughter, Caren L. Zingraff of Virginia Beach; a son, W. Craig Lipscomb of Wachapreague, Va.; a stepdaughter, Maureen L. Casey of Virginia Beach; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Bland had requested that his body be donated to science. A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday, July 22, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the home of his daughter, 3709 Silina Drive.
