Flags at most public buildings in Virginia Beach have been lowered to half-staff in memory of Detective John L. Marshall, 48, who died of natural causes Saturday.
Marshall, a native of Glen Ridge, N.J., worked for the Virginia Beach Police Department for 17 years. He lived in Chesapeake.
