Rudolph J. ``Phil'' Fehlhaber, 88, of the 500 block of Thole St., died July 20, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
He was a retired barber for Phil's Barber Service where he worked for 35 years. He was born in Ware, Mo., and was a member of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marines, the U.S. Navy, and the Missouri National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bernice Stagg Fehlhaber; one son and daughter-in-law, William R. and Diana Wootten Fehlhaber of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Amanda Marie Fehlhaber and Katelyn Marie Fehlhaber; and a niece, Barbara Scott of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday by Father Robert O'Conner of Christ Church and Rev. Morris Bennett of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Place of burial is Forest Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and other times at the residence.
