Gordon Lee Warfel, 52, of the 4500 block of Revere Drive, passed away July 20, 1995, in his home.
He was a native of Lancaster, Pa., and was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Norfolk. He was a contract manager for the Department of Commerce, Civil Service.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Warfel; his son, Todd D. Recupero of Virginia Beach; his mother, Helen Warfel of Akron, Pa.; and one brother, Gary Warfel of Lancaster, Pa.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Timothy Lutheran Church by the Rev. Lucille Dorband. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Friends may join the family at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church following the burial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Timothy Luthern Memorial Fund or the American Cancer Society.
