Francis ``Frank'' Gough, 72, of Battleboro, N.C., passed away July 20, 1995, in his home after a long illness.
He was a native of New York City, and a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Rocky Mount, N.C. He served proudly in the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II on the U.S.S. Menges. He received a Navy Commendation for life saving when his ship was torpedoed. He was a retired machinist for Bendix Corporation. He loved his wife, his grandchildren, and his garden.
He is survived by his loving wife Edna; five sons, Patrick of Virginia Beach, Glenn of California, Gregory of New York City, Christopher of Phoenix, Ariz., and Francis of Mill Valley Calif.; daughters-in-law, Catherine, Paige, Susan and Susan; grandchildren, Patrick, Deanna, Harrison, Caitlin and Brigitta.
Memorial services will be held at later date.
