DORIS M. PERRY

Doris Makinson Perry, 83, of the 100 block of Hall Drive, died Monday, July 24, 1995, in a Chesapeake hospital.

She was born in Portsmouth and was the widow of Curtis A. Perry. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. She retired from C & P Telephone Co. after 45 years of service and was an active member of the CWARMC Retired Members Club. SHe was also a member of Church Women United and served on the board of The Gateway House of Tidewater.

Survivors include two nieces, Andrea Kight of Currituck, N.C., and Sylvia Pittman of Chesapeake; two nephews, Gerald Makinson of Manteo, N.C., and Nelson Makinson of Currituck, N.C.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Theodore H. Bailey, Interim Rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Friends are invited to join the family at her residence after the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vestry of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
