Louis Fenton Jordan, age 69, died July 26, 1995, at Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin, after a long illness.
Born in Branchville, he was the son of the late Sidney Cloid and Lillie Murfee Jordan. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Boykins United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Branchville Ruritan Club, the Southampton County Board of Zoning Appeals, and had served as past-president of Southampton Peanut Company.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Bryant Jordan; a daughter, Kimberly J. Nixon, and son-in-law, Timothy R. Nixon, of Courtland; two sons, Keith L. Jordan and daughter-in-law, Cherie D. Jordan of Margarettsville, N.C., and Kevin L. Jordan of Franklin; a brother, Sidney Cloid Jordan Jr. of Newport News; a granddaughter, Sarah Anne Nixon; three grandsons, Matthew R. Nixon, Dylan K. Jordan, Caleb B. Drake; and six nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28, 1995, in Boykins United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Beechwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the Boykins United Methodist Church Building Fund or to Boykins Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad. Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins, is handling arrangements.
