Mildred Forbes Allen, 74, died Wednesday.
Mrs. Allen was born in Edgecombe County to the late William Henry and Annie Pollard Forbes. She was a lifetime member of Eagles Baptist Church and a loving wife, mother and friend.
Survivors include husband, James E. Allen; daughters, Nita A. Pridgen of Greenville, Bonnie Rose Allen of Crisp, Sandra Allen Seal of Nags Head; sons, W. James Allen of Chesapeake, John E. Allen of Knightdale, and Dennis F. Allen of Crisp; sister, Anne Forbes Robertson of Virginia Beach; brother, Charles Ray Forbes of Landsdown, Pa.; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be Saturday 11 a.m. at Eagles Baptist Church with the Rev. Mack Styron officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Tarboro.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Eagles Baptist Church ``We Care Fund'', Rt. 1. Box 693, Crisp, N.C. 27852. The family will be receiving friends at Carlisle Funeral Home, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
