Cleveland ``Booster'' Malone Jr., 77, of the 100 block of Gregg St., a retired maintenance engineer, died July 28, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Malone was born in Warrenton, N.C. He retired in 1983 from the Norfolk newspapers after 23 years and was a member of First Baptist Church, South Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Eula Mae Malone; a daughter, Florine D. Mason of New York City; two sisters, Elizabeth Thornton and Annie Lee Crudup; two brothers, William Malone and James Malone; two grandchildren, Keybra D. Riddick and Phindris J. Brown; and two great-grandchildren, Tramaine Riddick and Joseph Serda Riddick, all of Chesapeake; an aunt, Lola Pickford of Henderson, N.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday at First Baptist Church, South Hill, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Michael R. Toliver. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Arrangements by Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk chapel. The body will be at the church at 10 a.m.
