Ella R. Rogers, 60, of the 1300 block of Watson St., died July 29, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mrs. Rogers was born in Portsmouth. She was the widow of Elder Leon Rogers and was a member of Mount Olive Church of Christ Holiness, Portsmouth.
Survivors include a son, Ennis L. Rodgers of Newport News; two brothers, Elder William L. Wright Sr., of Portsmouth and Major H. Wright of Queens, N.Y.; two grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Paula Rodgers of Newport News; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday, Aug. 4, at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Oak and Hoover streets, Portsmouth, by Elder John Smith. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Corprew Funeral Home, where the family will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Friday.
