Mrs. Margaret B. (McCombs) Coots departed this life on July 28th after a long illness. Mrs. Coots was born in Cabarrus Co., N.C., and has resided in Norfolk for the last 50 years. She was a faithful member of First Lutheran Church. She leaves a devoted family to cherish her Memories.
Survivors include her Mother, Lillie Brown of Norfolk; her husband, Herman D. Coots, Sr. of Va. Beach; two daughters, Dr. Ann B. McCombs of Seattle, WA., and Patricia Watson of Richmond, Va.; her son, Buddy McCombs of Jacksonville, Fla.; her three brothers; George M. Brown of Norfolk, Billy E. Brown of Culpepper, Va., and Robert E. Brown of Norfolk; her seven grandchildren; and her one great-grandchild.
A Funeral Service will be conducted Monday, 7/31, 1 p.m., at The First Lutheran Church on Colley Ave. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Sunday, 7/30, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
