Jane T. Sproat, 55, of the 2000 block of Colombo Ave., a homemaker, died peacefully Aug. 2, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Sproat was a native of Norfolk, and was Roman Catholic.
Survivors include her husband, John P. Sproat; two daughters, Batecia Burgess of Portsmouth and Jane Dejournette of Atlanta; three sons, Charles Dejournette of Atlanta, John P. Sproat Jr. and Christopher Sproat of Chesapeake; her mother, Rosebud P. Tolentino; two sisters, Caroline Diniz and Juanita King, both of Norfolk; a brother, Eddie Tolentino Jr., of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
A chapel service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 5, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Eddie Tolentino, III. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 7 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk chapel, is handling arrangements.
