Perry S. Tillotson, 57, died Aug. 2, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Tillotson was born in Mineola, N.Y., and was a resident of Nags Head, N.C. He was a retired commander with the U.S. Navy, a senior analyst with Sonalysts, affiliated with Francis Asbury United Methodist Church, worked with the Boy Scouts for 20 years and was a member of Cape Henry Model A Club. He graduated from Mineola High School, received degrees from Lafayette College and George Washington University, attended the Navy War College in Newport, R.I., and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he received three Navy air medals.
Survivors include his wife, Judith A. Tillotson; two sons, Jeffery Hughes of Hopewell, Va., and Joel and Megan Hughes of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Judy Bannister of Amherst, Mass., and Linda Loewy of Newington, N.H.; a stepmother, Sylvia Tillotson of Vero Beach, Fla.; a granddaughter, Shannon Hughes of Virginia Beach; and two nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by his parents, Evelyn Brown Tillotson of New York and John Tillotson of Florida.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Francis Asbury United Methodist Church by the Rev. Joseph E. French. Burial will be private at a later date. Arrangements by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Francis Asbury Memorial Fund, 1871 N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23454.
