Doris Purvis Holbrook, 63, a retired procurement supervisor, died Aug. 3, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Holbrook was born in Tattnal County, Ga. She retired from the Navy Exchange at Little Creek Amphibious Base, was the widow of Andrew Harrison Holbrook and was a former member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and St. Columbus Presbyterian Church, both of Norfolk.
Survivors include a son, Harry, and his wife, Susan Allen Holbrook of Virginia Beach; her mother, Gladys Goff of Jesup, Ga.; a sister, Gwili Purvis of Jesup, Ga.; two grandchildren, Andrew Harrison Holbrook and Dawn Michelle Holbrook, both of Virginia Beach; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Memorial donations may be made to Hampton Roads Child Abuse Center.
