Reuben Rivera hit a home run and drove in the go-ahead run with a single as the Columbus Clippers beat the Norfolk Tides 4-3 Sunday to sweep an International League doubleheader.
Don Sparks drove in five runs to lead Columbus to a 10-6 victory in the first game.
In the second game, Norfolk's Butch Huskey led off the second inning with his 27th homer of the season. The Clippers tied it in the bottom of the second on Rivera's seventh home run, a solo shot.
Edwin Alicea hit a two-run homer, his third, in the fifth inning to put the Tides ahead 3-1.
Andy Fox hit a solo homer, his ninth, in the bottom of the fifth to pull the Clippers to 3-2. Jalal Leach followed with a triple and scored on an error by second baseman Alicea, and Rivera drove in the final run with a single.
Kent Wallace (3-0) picked up the victory for the Clippers. Paul Wilson (3-4) was the loser.
In the opener, Sparks had two triples and five RBIs.
Robert Eenhoorn scored four runs for the Clippers, while teammate Matt Luke went 4-for-4 with two runs scored.
The Tides' Alex Uchoa had two RBIs and Huskey scored two runs.
Norfolk jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning off Columbus starter Kirt Ojala. Jay Payton had a run-scoring triple and Trey McCoy had an RBI double in the inning.
Columbus' big inning was the fourth, when the Clippers scored four unearned runs off Norfolk starter Jimmy Williams (10-4).
Mark Carper (7-8) got the victory, pitching one hitless inning in relief. Dave Paylas picked up his 17th save of the season. ILLUSTRATION: GAMEWATCH
